Matcha is the most famous ice cream flavor in Japan, but today it is widely available worldwide. Matcha Tea lends itself wonderfully in all kinds of sweet preparations, and this somewhat peculiar ice cream is no exception.
Why peculiar? Because it’s made without an ice cream maker, you’ll just need a good blender; it’s sugar-free and with only two ingredients: bananas (frozen the night before) and quality Matcha Tea.
The vibrant green color in combination with the herbaceous and refreshing taste of Matcha combine perfectly with the sweetness of the banana, giving us a fresh and healthy dessert. And even the strictest diet will be saved.
Ingredients
- Matcha tea 5 g
- Bananas 2
Steps
Peel and chop the Bananas and freeze them in a plastic bag overnight.
The next day, remove the banana from the freezer and let it stand at room temperature for a few minutes.
Place, at this point, the banana pieces and Matcha in a fairly powerful blender.
Blend for 2 minutes, bring the mixture, which will have collected on the walls of the blender, back to the center of the blender with a spatula, and blend for 2 more minutes, or until the ice cream has reached the right consistency. You will not need more than 5 minutes in all.
Pour into bowls and enjoy your ice cream as is or garnish as desired.
